The model Hana arrived early that morning. The stylists welcomed her in and quickly brought her to a chair and made her comfortable. Then, they began the consultation. She needed a new look—something stylish—and she wanted to neutralize the reds in her hair. She had not been to a salon in several months, and her hair needed a bit of a TLC. Stylists Yukari Katayama and Takahiro Araki suggested a color close to her natural hair color and a cut with feminine bangs that framed her face. This style would look great and be easy for her to maintain in between salon visits. Over 400 Hair Colors to Choose From After Hana agreed, stylist Yukari went to a wall of dyes in the middle of the salon. NORA has over 400 colors and stylists can mix dyes to create custom shades for clients, she told us. She grabbed three bottles and began mixing a custom color. She was making a shade just for the model. Once the color was ready, the stylists began applying the color throughout the Hana’s hair. The dyes they were using were ADDICTCHY, a Japanese professional hair color brand that would give the model shiny, long-lasting color. After checking on the model’s hair, stylist Takahiro Araki said they were ready to wash the dye out. Detox Hair With an All-Natural Head Spa in Tokyo This all-natural treatment uses 100 percent pure essential oils to detoxify and condition your scalp and hair for glossy, healthy hair. Great Deal for Japanese Digital Perm So what exactly is a digital perm? Created and perfected in Japan, the digital perm uses heat to give the hair its shape memory and it also strengthens the condition of the hair. It gives hair a 3-D effect with flexible waves and curls, without making the hair stiff or dull – and its effects are extremely long-lasting. Let’s see the process for ourselves on our first hair model. Digital perm chemicals being applied to the hair Our first model wanted to shake up her very long and somewhat lifeless tresses with some bouncy curls as well as a boost of shine. After a detailed hair analysis by the stylist, it was decided that the digital perm would be the perfect treatment for what she wanted, and he proceeded to prep her hair for the treatment. First, the chemicals were carefully applied to her hair and given time to set. The stylist then did a ‘test curl’ to check how the hair was reacting to the perm process, and to ensure that there would be no hair damage. With expert blow drying and finger-curling techniques by the stylist, the digital perm was completed and left our hair model looking gorgeous with her new look. New York Style Hair Color with Highlights Our next beautiful model is a young Asian-American woman with previously-bleached hair. She came hoping that she could have a fun look without damaging her hair further, and her stylist did everything possible to deliver. The stylist took special care to only apply bleach to her virgin hair, including avoiding folding the foil to keep the application precise. After washing out the bleach, the stylist created the perfect shade of purple to match the photograph our model brought in. After applying the dye to the bleached ends, the end color is an amazing dip-dye/gradation of bright purple! The knowledge and skill one must acquire in order to be qualified is extensive. The honey packs in all their glory. You have two options – honey with brown sugar  (which is most effective for white hair), and the other, honey with a minty twist. Aging Care and Revitalization of Scalp & Hair The main effect of the head cure is “aging care and revitalization of scalp and hair”. It heals dry and oily scalps just the same and increases the quality of your hair drastically. By stimulating the pressure points on your scalp, temples, and neck, you’ll start to feel relaxed and at the end, rejuvenated. I was spoiled to bits – a trim, blow-drying, brushing, a hot iron and a head full of curls, sprayed with a glossy finish.
